## Usurp - The Card Game

2-Player Setup1. Take out all of the town square cards, season cards, the "clockwise/counter clockwise" card and enough Castle cards so that each player gets one. 2. Place town squares in the middle of the table equal to the number of players 3. Give each player one Castle card 4. Discard the Seasons cards and the "clockwise/counter clockwise" card and remaining Town Square cards. 5. Shuffle and set the remaining cards in the middle of the table. 3 or More Player Setup1. Take out all of the town square cards, the "clockwise/counter clockwise" card and enough Castle cards so that each players gets one. 2. Place town squares in the middle of the table equal to the number of players. Discard the remaining Town Squares. 3. Give each player one Castle card 4. Place the "clockwise/counter clockwise" card with "clockwise" facing up. This denotes the direction of play. 5. Shuffle and set the remaining cards in the middle of the table. |

**Game Play**

A.The first player draws one card from the deck in the middle of the table and places it in a Town Square (max of 4 cards per Town Square).

B. Take all of the cards from a Town Square. Once you have taken the cards from a Town Square, you have no more turns this round.

**Cards**

**Castle:**Holds up to 5 cards. Each card must belong to a castle or else you get the negative points of that card. Castles are not worth points.

**King:**If the King is in a castle where there is not a matching queen, you get 3 points. If the King does not have a castle to reside in you get -4 points.

**Queen:**If the Queen is with a King in a castle you get 10 points. The king does not get its additional 3 points. The pair get a total of 10 points.

**Bishop:**If the Bishop and its three pawns are in the same castle, you get 6 points for the Bishop and 3 additional points for each pawn for a total of 9 points. If the Bishop is not in a castle or does not have three pawns attached to it, you get -3 points.

**Knight**: If the Knight and its four pawns are in the same castle, you get 4 points for the Knight and 4 additional points for each pawn for a total of 8 points. If the Knight is not in a castle or does not have four pawns attached to it, you get -2 points.

**Pawns:**Pawns are not worth points unless they are attached to a Knight or Bishop. If a pawn is not in a castle or not attached to a Knight or Bishop, you get -1 point.

**Winning**

After three rounds, each player determines their score.
